DSO training session |
January 29-30, St. Louis: The hotel doors were opening and closing at a rapid rate this past Friday; the District Staff Officers (DSO) were arriving for their symposiums. Each year a select group of DSOs are selected to attend training sessions for their respective disciplines. The training includes the newest releases from their National departments and a briefing on what is expected of a DSO.
Since it is the responsibility of the DSO to return to their district and pass down through their chain the lessons learned at NTrain. It is far beyond the scope of SITREP to delineate the content of each of these two day sessions. It is well known that the opportunity for staff officers to meet face-to-face with members of like interests and responsibilities is very valuable. It is likely that many of these DSO will stay in contact with their new found “compadres.” One of the niceties of a conference that brings members from across the country are the many new friendships made at NTrain.
