Charlotte, August 28. The presentation of Coast Guard, Auxiliary and Partner awards is a traditional feature of the National Conference. Presentation of these awards during the General Assembly, in front of the senior leadership of both the Coast Guard and the Auxiliary, makes this a special event for the recipients.
The awards are presented throughout the day, both the morning and afternoon sessions. In many instances, the individual recipient could not be present. The respective District Commodore will receive the award for that individual and present it at a later date.
Announced at the Saturday evening Commodore’s Banquet, and mentioned in the “Banquet” coverage were the BoatUS presentation of “Flotilla of the Year” to Flotilla 17, District 8-CR and the Auxiliarist of the Year to Scott Warner of District 13.
